An unpaved lane known as McSwain Rd (off Kluge between Grant/Huffmeister) is on the path to becoming the "Street of Dreams." This is the beginning of the perfect "Old Town Cypress," similar to the Old Town Spring concept which includes 4 shopping destinations and a 60 ft pavillion for community events, weddings, live entertainment, picnics, non-profit events and more.
The Street now includes Decorative Prescriptions (a home interior/gift store), Unique Spirit (Screenprinting, embroidery and custom apparel) The Purple Elephant Gallery (unique one-of-a-kind resale items and art gallery featuring a new artist every month) The Iron Butterfly Art Studio (which host Saturday Merlot to Masterpiece art classes and ongoing art classes during the week), and Shadywood Quilts (who does custom quilting including her famous t-shirt quilts).
In the coming months, hopefully before Spring 2011, the street will include a Café, which is in the works and planning stages now. We are always seeking women entrepreneurs, artist and unique ideas to keep the street moving forward and becoming something really special.
If you have a unique talent or business idea and would like to talk to us about joining the exciting Street of Dreams, please contact Jodi Thompson at 832-248-7100.
